Cycle-based strength training

Strength training that explains itself.

Every session adapts to your cycle and to how you report feeling. And tells you exactly why.

Same person, same programme, two points in the same cycle. The app reads where you are and changes what it asks of you.

Day 1 Your period is here and you reported cramps, so today is gentler.
The Tomera home screen on day 1, showing menstruation, lower energy, and a gentler session planned.
Day 10 Energy is high, so today builds toward your targets.
The Tomera home screen on day 10, showing the follicular phase, high energy, and a full session planned.
  • Menstrual
  • Follicular
  • Ovulation
  • Luteal

Strength training built for cycles that don't behave.

PCOS. Endometriosis. Irregular cycles. Hormonal contraception. Perimenopause.

If your cycle doesn't run to a textbook 28 days, the app works from the cycle length you set and tells you when it is estimating rather than pretending to be certain. Your past phases come from the periods you logged. Where you logged nothing, the calendar stays empty.

A per-exercise progress chart showing reps climbing over three months, with each session coloured by the cycle phase it fell in.

On hormonal contraception, your targets stay where they are.

Tomera doesn't apply luteal phase rules to a cycle you aren't having. It follows the schedule you set and the bleed days you log. Adjustments come from the symptoms and the energy you report.

No bleed at all? Continuous pill, implant, hormonal coil, post-partum, breastfeeding, amenorrhea. Tell the app during setup and it stops showing phases it can't read. Your training keeps running on symptoms, energy and pain. Nothing asks you for a date you don't have.

The Tomera home screen for a user on hormonal contraception, showing active hormone days and a session following normal progression, with no cycle phase or day count.

Every number comes with its reasoning.

Most training apps hand you a set and a rep count and leave you to guess where they came from. Tomera shows the decision: what you did last time, what it is holding, what it changed today, and what would move the target up.

The rules are fixed and readable. Nothing is a black box, and nothing progresses while you are reporting pain.

About the evidence. Research on training by cycle phase is mixed, and it varies a lot from person to person. Tomera is built conservative because of that. It holds a target sooner than it raises one, and it doesn't promise you a percentage.

An exercise screen explaining why today's target is 9 to 13 reps, with coaching cues, common mistakes, and what to do if something hurts.

Your training and cycle data stay on your phone.

No account, no upload, no sign-up. Tomera works entirely offline, and you can export everything you have logged at any time.
